Apex Legends gives players full horizontal FOV control from 70° to 110° on PC, and the fast-paced, mobility-heavy gameplay makes your FOV choice more impactful than in most shooters. Wider FOV reveals more enemy movement and ability animations. This calculator helps you find your optimal Apex FOV and convert it between different aspect ratios or monitor setups.

Everything competitive players need to know about Apex FOV settings.
Apex Legends is built around movement — Octane's stim, Pathfinder's grapple, Valkyrie's jetpack. Wider FOV means you see more of these animations, which translates directly to faster reactions. Enemy abilities, shield breaks, and revives all become more visible at 100°+ vs 90°.
Apex has a 'Sprint Field of View' toggle that adds a subtle FOV boost while running. Many competitive players turn this OFF — the constant FOV shift during movement can disrupt crosshair placement timing and create visual inconsistency when sliding into gunfights. Test both settings.
Unlike some games, Apex maintains your set FOV while aiming down sights on most attachments. The 1x Holo and 2x are particularly important — they don't change FOV significantly, which is why many pros prefer them for general gunfights over higher magnification scopes.
Looking at ALGS (Apex Legends Global Series) pro players, the most common FOV settings are 100–106°. Very few pros use below 95° or the maximum 110°. The 104° mark is particularly popular as it provides strong peripheral vision without making distant targets too small.
